GCC build failed for native with your patch on 2003-09-05T11:02:39Z.

I saw this also the tree-ssa branch (right before it got broken and in 
the java libraries),
This is most definitely not caused by any of these patches, but exposed 
by the unit-at-a-time patch.
It looks like to be a reload bug.
