This is caused by the well-known bug that gcc can't find its assembler if there is no $prefix/lib/gcc-lib/$machine/$version directory. I'm inclined to fix it just so I don't get 1M bounce messages again :-). -- - Geoffrey Keating <geoffk@geoffk.org>
