    The FSF gcc project does not provide or support binary releases
    of GCC.  You should contact the site where you got the
    binary release of GCC regarding your problems.
    
    If you build GCC 3.0.4 from source, as mentioned
    here: http://gcc.gnu.org/install/, do you get the same
    problem?
