Compiler is cross-compiler used on i686 Linux. Target platform is arm-v4l-linux.
>Description:
With default options, the compiler generates exception handling
code for C++ language. The generated code reads and writes
static data (even if no try/except construct is used and 
no exceptions are to be thrown). This leads to random 
segmentation violation in multithreaded code.
>How-To-Repeat:
Compile (see attached files) on ix86 Linux using
make all CC=arm-v4l-linux-gcc LD=arm-v4l-linux-ld
When the program is run on an ARM machine (we use Compaq iPaq H3650
with StrongARM SA1110), it crashes after a random period of time
in the exception handling code.

The workaround is to use the -fno-exceptions compiler option.
