     I tested your code with:
     gcc version 3.0 20010309 (prerelease)
     from http://www.codesourcery.com/gcc-snapshots.html
     
     I had to patch your code, but it did compile
     without an Internal Compiler Error.  I had to patch
     your code though, and I have attached the patch
     to the web page of this bug report.
