 Another data point for you all.  I am trying to compile
 LEDA 4.1 under "Digital UNIX V4.0F" using gcc 2.95.2
 and I also ran into the 
 
 Internal compiler error in `scan_region', at except.c:2566
 
 error.  I see that Rogier Goossens "fixed" the problem by
 modifying the ddd source code to shorten a function.  Is
 it a simple problem of a too-small buffer in except.c?
