Go patch committed: Add flattening pass

This patch from Chris Manghane adds a flattening pass to the Go
frontend.  This is a step toward moving more types of expressions into
the backend interface.  Bootstrapped and ran Go testsuite on
x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.  Committed to mainline.
