I was thinking, to first order, of differentiating between { dg-do run
} where the correctness of the run relies on the frontend being
correct and where optimization is not an issue and those where a more
thorough shake down is needed; essentially reviving the
gfortran.fortran-torture/execute

Just a thought....

Back to understanding what TREE_VARIANTS are all about and how to
organise module derived types and procedures to get -fwhole-file fully
operational.  (I got down to 166FAILs last nigh :-))
