Hm,

I did not install my darwin10 stuff yet. So I couldn't actually test.

So, if we need the x86_64-*-darwin[912]*) in the configure then we have 
to do it the way below.

Right? Autoconfed with 2.59

If Paolo agrees I'll commit later this evening.
