You don't need to test ANYTHING but gcc.  Your system shows the bug, 
mine doesn't, so *you* can tell best if the patch fixes it.

You should apply Ralf's patch (the *.m4 hunks) and regenerate all 
affected aclocal.m4 files in gcc and src.
