Is it possible to forecast how long it will be until AdaCore are ready for 
GPLv3 licensed sources ?  If it is not going to be a long time, then holding 
off on applying the patch will not be a big issue.  But if it is going to be a 
long time, or if you cannot say how long it is likely to be then the best thing 
(from an FSF point of view) would be for the patch to be applied and for 
AdaCore to put in place a revert-to-GPLv2 procedure, painful as it maybe.
