I understand your immediate issue has been addressed already, but I agree
that there is something we should (and can) improve on the web pages.

The patch below, which I just installed, is my first attempt to do so.

  Add pointers to subscription instructions and list policies to the 
  beginning of the page.

Do you have further ideas that would have helped you?
