The last tests are still running (but since all the right target
libraries have been build so far, I'm not expecting any surprises).

I feel that technically this can be regarded as a regression as one
could previously enable java on the affected platforms by
--enable-libgcj.  So it's not clear to me, whether I need approval from
the Mark as the release manager, or whether DJ's approval is sufficient
for me to commit.
