RFA: .opt files for x86, darwin and lynxos

    which means it is likely that Kenner and/or ACT wrote the patch.

I take back what I said.  The ChangeLog file I have has my name on that.
But all they did was affect linker options.  I'm pretty sure I did that at
the request of somebody external, but now I'm no longer sure.
