So breaking the declarator datastructures patch 
<http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2004-09/msg00608.html> less than nine 
hours after it was posted through all the code reformatting / 
reindentation in grokdeclarator - I'm now testing an updated version of 
that patch updated for current mainline plus the two prerequisite patches 
listed.
