I'll hang around and wait if anyone has any complaints before committing 
it into HEAD.

Can someone please confirm when the tree-ssa merge is done, i.e. when I 
can check in my patch, please?

In what extent do you mean no approval? That I will never get an 
approval for 3.4 checkin or that I have to wait until some merge/freeze 
is over?

I would surely like a final confirmation on this, please, not just maybe 
and possibly....
