Patch to simtest-howto.html

Hi!

The following patch improves on the tree combining script and, in the 
process, corrects some errors surrounding directory navigation ("gcc" is 
at the same level of "src", for example).  Since there is no ChangeLog 
in the wwwdocs directory, I didn't write an entry.

Okay to commit?
