Soft-float documentation, revised again

This kills bootstrap for me with:

../../gcc-head/gcc/doc/libgcc.texi:263: Unknown command `tie'.

../../gcc-head/gcc/doc/libgcc.texi:263: Misplaced }.
make[2]: *** [../../gcc-head/gcc/doc/gccint.info] Error 2

makeinfo --version says 'makeinfo (GNU texinfo) 4.2'.

Do I need a newer makeinfo, and if so, shouldn't the configure
test notice that?
