I'm not sure exactly what problems you are having bootstrapping ada but
on x86 I found it very simple. Download 3.14p (or later?) install into the
default /usr/gant add /usr/gnat/bin onto your path so that the bootstrap
will use the 3.14p tools for the bootstrap. Once you have bootstrapped done
a manual "cd gcc; make gnatlib_and_tools" and then installed you can remove/ignore
the 3.14p toolchain because you'll now have an upto ada enabled toolchain.
It doesn't significantly increase bootstrap time you just need to
remember to do the manual "cd gcc; make gnatlib_and_tools" bit after
bootstrapping and before installing
