I'm more interested in rewriting the gc so that it's not
size bucket oriented, and so that we can perhaps do 
generational collection.

I've looked at Dan's copying collector thing, but I'm not
sure it's *that* helpful if we can't copy trees or rtx.
Yes, I know that's not his fault, but...
