I always forget that Tru64 is COFF as well. Both AIX and Tru64 declare the function in <ldfcn.h>. I am not sure what OS version needs the extra declaration because collect2.c does see the declaration in ldfcn.h on recent versions of AIX, and presumably Tru64 as well. David
