Oops, I broke bootstrap somewhere (OK, I see where according to
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2003-03/msg02012.html at least
hppa64-hp-hpux11.11; sorry, David).  I moved the cited patch to 3.3;
eyed it in context; configured and confirmed.  Bootstrap proceeding; I
will check-in after it completes.
