No, I was speaking of the mail body.  'diff' (or 'cvs diff') is know to
produce long lines, and that's okay and expected.

What be producing confusion is that the /mailer/ should not add line
breaks, e.g., after you say "send" but before it actually sends it out;
that will destroy the diff output.  But whatever /editor/ you're using
should break lines.  Perhaps it was the former case that caused trouble
previously?
