Thanks.  I bootstrapped it again on athlon-pc-linux-gnu, now with Ada,
and tested it again, without regressions.  I'm yet to write some
testcases to avoid regressions and formalize the intended behavior,
but I'm not sure we've reached consensus yet, so I still haven't spend
the time to write it.

Here's the exact patch I'm checking in.  The only difference from the
previously-posted patch is the addition of 2002 in the copyright
notices.
