Finally bootstrapped and checked

i686-pc-linux-gnu, now checked in.  That patch alone wasn't the
whole answer for mmix-knuth-mmixware though; the abort in
cp_expr_size still triggers "a lot" in the C++ testsuite,
together with same order of emit_move_insn aborts IIRC (did
those tests on another machine).  Hope to investigate soon.
