Could you clarify why this is necessary?  Is it policy not to
"correct" an existing test cases?

I'd like to rework some comparisons in execute/conversion.c so that they
support all rounding modes (details still to be worked out).  Should I
rename it to something like execute/conversion2.c at the same time?
