Sure it is. :-)

It's my job to try to run the release, but I welcome everybody's
input.

Gerald also suggested this idea today, so I'm leaning towards doing
that.  I'm not sure that it will help, but I think it's worth a try,
especially if everyone else thinks so.

I will soon post a message to the various lists announcing a 1-week
slush.

I'm somewhat afraid that people will just keep working on the new
features -- but off on their own someplace.  But let's give it a go!
