	If you can localize any of the compatibility patches solely to
(version-specific) VxWorks configuration files, I would be happy to
include that in the GCC development sources.  I think that all of your
compatibility changes require flags affecting the algorithms in the
generic architecture configuration, not just overriding macros.

	Given that the changes pervade rs6000.c and rs6000.md, I do not
see what advantage a target triplet approach provides over target flags.
One can use the target triplet for defaults, but you might as well allow
runtime selection if it is easy to implement, IMHO.
