Alex,
About the arbitary rtl expressions appearing as arguments of ADDRESS_COST
macro - please don't worry about them.  I am just bootrapping patch that
will change the behaviour and call ADDRESS_COST only for rtls passing
address_operand check.  I believe this will avoid the codes you are seeing
right now.
