you are right, it must be a mistake with my configuration, although I
cannot find the buggy program. It's the 19990314 snapshot
(--enable-cpplib --enable-c-cpplib) bootstrapped with egcs-1.1.2 pre2
on Linux i486 (glibc-2.1.1 ).
