Hi,
I've recently submitted a patch which fixes all these dynamic_cast issues
you've discovered in addition to some to do with exceptions, which also uses
the dcast methods.

notice the Subject: did not hint at this.) That patch has not yet been approved
or disproved.

I recommend you (at least) try the testcases I submitted with that patch.
