Patch to add documentation for spec files

Hi Craig,

  OK, OK!  I was just going with my version because I felt that it
"looked better", not for any language lawyer reason.  If it is
important enough for you to write an essay about, then it is
important enough for me to change.  I have moved the period inside the
parenthesis in both occurances in my patch.

  Anything else or shall I check the patch in ?
