I think the key is how do ctors/dtors fire for a shared library, both those
which appear on the link line and those which are explicitly loaded during
the execution of the program.

If the dynamic linker is responsible for firing them via .init sections or
similar mechanisms, then OpenServer would probably be fine with HJ's patch.


I'm going to sit down with this testcase from Steinar Bang and HJ's patch
for a few minutes too.  There's a voice inside my head that keeps telling me
I'm missing something with this whole discussion.
