OK, I can live with that.  How about if I name my new BP or non-BP
pointer macro XPOINTER_TYPE_P?  It's short, sweet, not too far from
what I really want and the X can mean "extended" besides.

Richard, can I shake loose from you an approval for the renaming-only
patch?

How many external front-ends are floating around out there?  Ada &
Pascal I know about.  I vaguely recall there's a Module (2? 3?)  as
well.
