How best to use --enable-stage1-checking and does --enable-stage2-checking exist ?

Dear gcc'ers :

     I have an older and slower machine to bootstrap GCC 5.4.x with and
I would prefer that my first build of anything from the 5.x tree be a
release quality compiler.  I am bootstrapping with gcc 4.9.2 which has
served very well for a while now. So I see the mysterious configure
option --enable-stage1-checking with no mention of a stage2 anywhere. A
nice bug report exists from a while ago which helps :

So what are the options to --enable-stageX-checking for some X wherein I
get a reasonable and not obscenely long build time? To get a "release"
quality compiler output I mean. Also, I am fine with a build time of
seven to twenty days if needed. The output quality is what matters for a
full bootstrap.
