Oh, I misread your first email, sorry. You didn't use
--disable-shared, the command you showed was from the ISL build dir.

It was only reported a few months ago, that's really not a very long time.

It seems to build OK with --disable-bootstrap --disable-multilib
--enable-host-shared --with-pic

I haven't tried a multilib or bootstrap build, but --with-pic should
make them work too.
