Hello,

I am working with Scientific Linux (a rebiuld of RHEL) 6.4, which comes with
gcc 4.4.7. I want to install the last version (4.8.2). I was able to install
the latest versions of MPFR, MPC and GMP. I downloaded the full gcc-4.8.2
package, uncompressed, etc. I can configure:

"../gcc-4.8.2/configure --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix
--enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu
--enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc --prefix=/opt/gcc-4.8.2"

this AFAIK works OK:
