If you're really using gdb 4.5.3 (is there even such a release?) then
you should upgrade, GDB is up to version 7.5 now.

I doubt any of us know what the "C++ kernel" is either, but in any
case, please find a more appropriate forum. You've consistently used
this list for help with C++ syntax and issues that aren't specific to
GCC, so don't belong on the gcc-help list.
