boost library lexical_cast cann't be compiled

'str3' does not appear on line 16 in the code above, and the code
above compiles fine, so I don't think it's what you're actually
compiling.

The error would imply you've written something like:

    cout << boost::lexical_cast<str3> << endl;

which is wrong, and not what you've pasted above.
Instead of asking for help as soon as you get an error why don't you
check you've copied the example code correctly.
