Since there are no for loops in GIMPLE, there is no way to tell whether
statements are part of a for loop.

During the loop optimizer passes you can determine whether a GIMPLE
instruction is part of a loop.  However, at that point there is no
difference between a for loop or a while loop or for that matter a loop
constructed using if and goto statements.
