Problems untaring the source for GCC 4.2.1

Hi Paul,

Use the GNU tar <http://www.gnu.org/software/tar/> which should support the
symbolic links, and also you can bunzip2 all in one step:

tar xjvf gcc-4.2.1.tar.bz2

I presume you already have a preferred place to get pre-built binaries for
GNU tools on AIX.

Note, I haven't used AIX since v1.3, so my AIX experience is a bit on the
rusty side.
