%= illegal on cygwin

Hi,

I'm trying to make the labels of some inline assembly functions unique, as the functions are inlined.
Looking through the docs i found that that's what %= is used for, but further no examples.
So i looked through the compiler source and found some examples. None of which i can compile?

Error: invalid character '=' in operand 1

Why would that behaviour be different on Cygwin?
