GOMP Threadprivate on Darwin/non-ELF

I'm using GOMP via gcc 4.2.2 on several platforms and on Darwin have  
run into the message:

    "sorry, unimplemented: threadprivate variables not supported in  
this target"

Looking around bugzilla and the mailing lists turned up an old  
proposal by Asher to add this:

    http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/fortran/2006-08/msg00191.html

but from this thread it seems to have been dropped. Did this somehow  
make it into gcc 4.3 or 4.4? It'll take a while to build a new 4.3/4.4  
toolchain just to check...
