[Update] : Problem while building/compiling Gcc-4.2.1 on Solaris-5.8

As per the instructions <http://gcc.gnu.org/install/configure.html>,
./configure (running configure in the same directory as the source code, or
any subdirectory thereof) is not supported.

That may-or-may-not be one of the factors that is causing problems.
