Similarities between gcc and binutils

Ok, so my work should be done, then, for the bug I submitted, correct?

Thanks to all helping out.  Obviously this is beyond trivial, but it
provides a good learning ground for how I should go about things in
the future.  Ditto for anyone reading these threads.
