Thank you, Rupert and John. I did have the glibc-devel package installed. However, I was looking back over the make output and noticed that it was using the -m32 flag. I set CFLAGS to -m64, added --disable-multilib to the configure command (had a failure there after I'd set CFLAGS and tried to build) and it has now built itself. Cheers! Jon
