Why do you say that?  Have you looked at what two of the game consoles have?  They both
have VMX (aka AltiVec).  I see VMX having more of a future than say IA64.  I don't understand
why you are putting down one of the best documented instruction set (and best documented language
extensions to the C/C++ language).
