m32 option and libgcc.a

Hello,

I'm using gcc 4.1.1 on a 64 bits linux computer (x86_64). When i generate 32 bits objects and prog, i add -m32 option but by default the only libgcc.a who is searched by gcc is the one for 64 bits. So i'm forced to add -B option or to redefine GCC_EXEC_PREFIX.
Why does the -m32 option not use the right defaults libraries ?
