gcc-3.3.2 on darwin 8.0.1

Hi.  I need to install gcc-3.3.2 on my new mac running Darwin 8.0.1  
(OSX 10.4).  I notice that there are no build reports for this os  
version.  I've downloaded gcc-3.3.2 and unzipped and untarred  
everything, and ./configure seems to run successfully.  If I try  
'make bootstrap', I get:

stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -B/usr/local/gcc_3.3.2//powerpc-apple- 
darwin8.2.0/bin/   -g -O2 -DIN_GCC   -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -

xgcc: installation problem, cannot exec `c++filt3': No such file or  
directory
/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
_fprintf$LDBLStub
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [f/fini] Error 1
make[1]: *** [stage2_build] Error 2
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2


If, on the other hand, I run 'sudo make install', I get a variety of  
different errors, depending on how many previous times I've tried  
make bootstrap.  Can anyone help?
