executable library depencies

Hello,

Is there a clean way to modify the executable dependencies on shared
libraries ? I want to be able to modify the /lib/libc.so.6.1 dependency.
My system uses right now glibc 2.3, and I have a program that wants 2.2
and I cannot rebuild it from scratch.
